— Martin Eli Enowitz, Publisher

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: Thank you for joining us today, Steve! We are pleased to speak with a former member of the British Armed Forces and an internationally recognized security and risk management executive with more than three decades of experience leading complex security operations, executive protection programs, enterprise risk management initiatives, and crisis response operations across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

Your bio here (https://focusonegroup.com/about-steve/) is notable and speaks volumes about your capabilities, experience and the outstanding results you deliver to your clients.

Please tell us about your security journey and may we have a brief history of www.focusonegroup.com ?

Steve Davies: My career in security and risk management began with services in the British Armed Forces, where I developed the operational discipline, leadership, and strategic planning skills required to operate effectively in high-risk and demanding environments. Following my British Military Services, I transitioned into the private sector, building more than three decades of international experience delivering Executive Protection, Protective Intelligence, Corporate Risk Management, Travel Risk Management, Crisis Response, and Enterprise Security Solutions for Corporate Executives, Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs), family offices, celebrities, and government clients throughout North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Focus One Group Delivers Intelligence-Led Protective Risk Management and Operational Support for Corporate Executives, Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals, Family Offices, Celebrities, Royal Families and organizations facing elevated or evolving risk.

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: We read on your website (https://focusonegroup.com/the-modern-close-protection-agent-is-no-longer-just-a-bodyguard/) that, “The Modern Close Protection Agent Is No Longer Just A “Bodyguard.” Care to elaborate?

Steve Davies: This is a statement that I stand-by; it reflects the evolution of the executive protection profession. Today's close protection professional is no longer solely responsible for the physical safety of a client but serves as an integral component of a broader security and risk management strategy.

Ultimately, the modern executive protection professional is a strategic risk advisor whose value lies not only in responding to threats, but in identifying, mitigating, and preventing them before they impact the client, their family, or their organization.

Today’s protection professional’s role extends far beyond providing a protective presence. Today's executive protection professional must anticipate emerging risks, develop proactive mitigation strategies, coordinate with stakeholders, and integrate seamlessly into a client's personal and professional environment while maintaining the highest standards of discretion and professionalism. They are expected to assess dynamic threat environments, recognize behavioral threat indicators, understand cyber-physical risks, navigate diverse cultural and business settings, and support complex domestic and international operations.

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: We understand that a significant niche for Focus One Group is providing protection and security for Family Offices (https://focusonegroup.com/security-risk-management-for-family-offices/) . Please tell us more about your role with Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) families.

Steve Davies: Supporting ultra-high-net-worth families requires an intelligence-led, relationship-driven approach founded on trust, discretion, and operational excellence. Today's risk landscape extends beyond physical security to include cyber threats, reputational exposure, travel risk, residential security, and family continuity. We work closely with family offices to develop tailored security frameworks that align with each family's lifestyle, governance structure, and risk profile.

By integrating protective intelligence, advanced technology, and proactive risk management, we deliver comprehensive, discreet solutions that safeguard people, assets, and legacy while enabling families to live, travel, and conduct business with confidence. The most effective security programs integrate seamlessly into a family's personal and professional life, providing discreet, intelligence-led protection that enables them to live, travel, and conduct business with confidence while maintaining the highest standards of safety. A successful protective security program should enhance a family's lifestyle—not disrupt it.

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: Congratulations on your successful security engagements with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) (https://focusonegroup.com/tiff-2026-executive-protection-secure-transportation/) over the years. Your thoughts?

Steve Davies: The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) presents a complex protective security environment characterized by high-profile talent, compressed production schedules, significant media attention, and elevated public exposure. Effective operations require meticulous advance planning, venue and route assessments, protective intelligence, secure transportation, executive and celebrity protection, and close coordination with studios, publicists, production teams, venue security, and law enforcement.

Operational priorities include managing dynamic schedules, crowd movements, media presence, and evolving threat conditions while maintaining a discreet protective posture. Success at TIFF is achieved through intelligence-led planning, operational flexibility, seamless coordination, and the ability to mitigate risk without disrupting the client's schedule, public engagements, or overall festival experience. The Focus One Group services allow the PR, publicists, management, studios, and production teams to focus on what they need to do and not worry about the security of their clients!

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: We understand, Steve, that you have a strategic relationship with Northcott Global Solutions (NGS) (https://northcottglobalsolutions.com/), United Kingdom. Please tell us more.

Steve Davies: Our strategic partnership with Northcott Global Solutions (NGS) significantly strengthens Focus One Group's international operational capabilities and enhances the level of support we provide to clients operating worldwide. Recognized as a top-tier provider of Travel Risk Management, crisis response, and global assistance services, NGS delivers industry-leading capabilities through its integrated Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC), proprietary “Aurora” platform, emergency response coordination, medical assistance, and evacuation services.

Whether clients are travelling internationally, operating in remote locations, or conducting business in elevated-risk environments, they benefit from continuous monitoring, intelligence-led travel risk management, rapid incident response, and access to a trusted global support network—ensuring operational resilience, business continuity, and the highest standards of safety and “duty of care” wherever they are in the world.

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: This is an incredibly compelling testimonial from Jerry S. Marshall Vice President, Security — U.S. Chamber of Commerce:

"Focus One Group has worked with the US Chamber of Commerce on numerous events. Focus One Group assisted in designing and implementing the operational security plan to safeguard the 2022 CEO Summit of the Americas. This event included high ranking government officials, foreign dignitaries, and CEOs from 17 different countries encompassing North, Central and South America. The Focus One team seamlessly integrated with our staff, the U.S. Secret Service, the LAPD, the U.S. State Department, and the Intercontinental hotel as true professionals to facilitate a smooth and safe event. "

Care to discuss?

Steve Davies: Large-scale international events such as the COP Conferences demand exceptional operational planning, multi-agency coordination, and precise execution. As part of our international support capabilities, Focus One Group provided in-country security resources and operational support to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce security team during COP25, COP26, and COP27 in the Middle East. Working alongside the Chamber's protective security personnel, we coordinated trusted local security resources, facilitated operational support, and assisted with country-specific security requirements to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment.

Our role is to integrate seamlessly into the client's protective framework, providing intelligence-led planning, operational execution, and real-time problem-solving that enhances security while allowing the event to achieve its strategic and operational objectives.

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: Any other success stories?

Steve Davies: The most successful operations are often those that receive the least attention. In protective security, the absence of an incident is frequently the strongest indicator of effective planning, intelligence-led risk management, and disciplined operational execution.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting complex international security operations, executive travel programs, and long-term protective strategies for corporate executives, family offices, and private clients operating in diverse and dynamic environments. While confidentiality prevents discussion of specific assignments, each engagement has reinforced the importance of proactive planning, operational flexibility, and discreet execution.

Ultimately, our success is measured by the trust our clients place in us, the continuity of their operations, and our ability to anticipate, mitigate, and manage risk while enabling them to conduct business, travel, and live their lives with confidence and minimal disruption.

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: Let’s turn to Focus One Group’s International presence. You’re engaged in 30+ countries. Please give us a brief overview?

Steve Davies: Certainly—each region presents its own unique risk landscape:

 United States: Elevated concerns around civil unrest, targeted crime, and public event security. Strong infrastructure but increasingly complex threat environment.

 Canada: Generally stable, though rising concerns around urban crime and targeted incidents involving high-net-worth individuals.

 Mexico: Higher risks related to organized crime and travel security. Advance planning and local intelligence are critical.

 United Kingdom: Mature security environment with strong counterterrorism capabilities, but ongoing concerns around urban crime and public safety.

 United Arab Emirates (UAE): Very secure overall, with strong governance. Risks are typically low but require cultural and regulatory awareness.

 Singapore: One of the safest global hubs, with strict regulations and low crime rates. Focus is more on compliance and business continuity.

 Switzerland: Highly stable and secure, though discretion and privacy are paramount considerations for UHNW clients.

Across all regions, the common thread is the need for proactive planning, real-time intelligence, and trusted local partnerships.

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: Any upcoming events you would like to mention?

Steve Davies: There are several exciting developments ahead for Focus One Group as we continue strengthening our domestic and international capabilities.

Our immediate operational focus is TIFF 2026, where our Toronto team will provide Celebrity & Executive Protection, Secure Transportation, Protective Intelligence, and Risk Management support to production companies, PR firms, celebrity management teams, and their talent. Our objective is to integrate seamlessly into their operations while ensuring safe, discreet, and efficient movements throughout the festival.

Internationally, we're expanding our capabilities through strategic relationships with Ferrum Security in Mexico, Allround Security & Logistics in India, and Arma Group International. Our partnership with Northcott Global Solutions (NGS) further strengthens our global Travel Risk Management, intelligence, crisis response, medical assistance, and evacuation capabilities.

Our strategy is not simply to become larger, but more capable and better connected—providing clients with one trusted point of contact for security and risk management support wherever they operate.

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: Are you available for speaking engagements?

Steve Davies: Yes...absolutely! Speaking is one of the most impactful parts of my work.

I’m available for:

 Corporate keynotes

 Executive leadership briefings

 HR and workplace safety programs

 Healthcare and education sector trainings

 Conferences, private events, and community safety presentations

Every presentation is customized to the organization’s needs, risk profile, and goals.
My priority is always the same: leaving audiences more aware, better prepared, and more confident in their ability to stay safe and protect others.

SecuritySolutionsWatch.com: Thank you again for joining us today, Steve, is there anything else you would like to discuss today?

Steve Davies: One area I would highlight is the evolving responsibility of Single and Multi-Family Offices, Private Investment Firms, and Private Wealth Advisors when it comes to protecting the individuals and families behind the wealth.

Unfortunately, in today's interconnected global environment, almost anyone can become a target. Executives and UHNW individuals can face risks ranging from unwanted attention, harassment, and reputational exposure to cyber-enabled threats, residential vulnerabilities, travel-related incidents, and more serious security concerns.

At Focus One Group, we are expanding our Family Office Risk Management services to provide a more integrated global support framework. This includes protective intelligence, Executive Protection, Residential Security, Secure Transportation, Travel Risk Management, Threat Risk Assessments, crisis preparedness and response, and 24/7 monitoring and emergency support.

Our objective is not to introduce unnecessary security into a family's lifestyle. It is to work alongside the Family Office and its trusted advisors to identify vulnerabilities early, establish appropriate safeguards, and ensure reliable resources are available when and where they are needed.

Ultimately, protecting wealth should also mean protecting the people, families, reputations, and legacies behind it. That is where I believe modern Family Office risk management must continue to evolve.

Uganda – A Personal Reflection

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to travel to Uganda as part of an international personal protection assignment. The client I was supporting had a longstanding relationship with Project Shelter Wakadogo, a nursery and primary school located in Acoyo, a rural community on the outskirts of Gulu in northern Uganda - https://wakadogo.org/

Wakadogo—meaning “for the little ones” in Swahili—was founded in 2006 by a group of volunteers from the United Kingdom and Canada, at a time when northern Uganda was emerging from more than two decades of civil conflict. The school opened in 2009 with a commitment to providing quality education and opportunity to children within the local community.

The photograph captures a moment between me and one of the young children at the kindergarten. For me, it represents something much greater than the protective assignment that originally brought me to Uganda.

One of the privileges of working in personal protection and international risk management is that our profession can take us to places we might otherwise never experience. We have the opportunity to encounter different cultures, meet extraordinary people, and develop relationships that can remain with us long after an assignment has ended.

The young child pictured with me is now around ten years old, which is a reminder of just how quickly the years pass.

More importantly, my connection with Wakadogo school did not end when I left Uganda. I have continued to maintain a relationship with the school, its founders, teachers, and students.

Throughout my career, I have travelled to many parts of the world in support of clients. While the responsibility has always been to protect people and manage risk, some assignments leave you with something unexpected in return—a greater understanding of people, culture, community, and the relationships that connect us.

Uganda, and particularly the Wakadogo community, is one of those experiences I have never forgotten.
